My boot is now flooding up with water and I have located the problem except I dont know how to fix it
The water is coming thru where the soft top and the car body meets theres a rubber there but its still leaking thru
Its leaking into the cabin on the parcel shelf (where the soft top folds onto) and theres this silver plate there which is allowing the water to leak into the boot
Can someone please help me

Your rain rail is leaking because it is cracked and/or your soft top drain tubes are blocked. The soft top drain tubes exit just in front of the rear wheels. The drain tubes can be cleared by carefully probing with a plastic tube or length of wire.

It goes all the way across the rear of the cockpit where the roof attaches.

I hear sometimes its important to tighten in the correct sequence or it will just leak again.

ah so its this rivet that holds the soft top and the rain rail together thats making the rain rail crack

I dont know about that... from my understanding its just like wear and tear...
Also the rain rails can can be made from different materials some are more durable than others. Just shop around...

ok i couldn't help myself but to remove the nuts and have a look and omg so dirty
what i found was a HUGE crack right thru lots of them the rain rail is very brittle :'(
might try and glue it up just as a temp for a week or two while i get some money together :'(
and it doesn't look easy to replace you got to use some sort of rivet and rivet it to the soft top
so i might check if someone wants to do the replacing for me as well

The rain rail is expensive as a spare part. However, it is normally repairable with silicone and duct/race tape.

I have a rain rail that never leaked, although I did minor damage to it when changing roofs, would an be an easier repair than what you are facing now, you are welcome to come and have a look at it and if you want it you can have it for free. ( it comes with roof on frame though
)
Call me 0421 097 903 if you want to come around.
