Okay, just went for a drive after the heavens opened up. Went to take off in first (as you do) and suddenly all this water dribbled onto my right foot  I stopped the car and felt up under the dash (close to the firewall) and felt water. I kept feeling around and the firewall insulation was wet. My question in where is this water coming from? Its not the soft top drain holes and the roof is not leaking as far as i know. Are there any other holes which im not aware of which could be blocked and cause water to trickle down the firewall into the drivers footwell? In the mean time, ive got the car idling with the foot heater on full to try and dry it out (rain has stopped now)

maybe your drainage holes for just under the windscreen are blocked, I can see it filling with water if they were

How does one go about cleaning them out? Ive had a look but have no idea where they drain to.
Are there any other places where water can leak in which i should check. Im not to keen on water leaking in around electronic components. I may as well check everything while im at it.

they drain down behind the inner gaurd behind front wheel. Take the inner gaurd off and it will probably be full of mud, leaves etc. mine were :frown:

haha believe me i am!!! It happened to me in my old rolla, coming up to a set of lights and the heater core gave way and was spewing HOT coolant on the brake pedal. Pretty much my options were to either collect a few cars or burn my bare foot and safely stop. The one sole word coming from my mouth disturbed the crows several km's away!!!

Actually come to think of it, this happened twice in my old rolla...
