My first time out without the hardtop in about 2 years and the top gets slashed. Luckily it's not too long - maybe 3 or 4cm

Anyone recommend a DIY solution?
Thanks

Seems to be so many dickheads in Sydney these days...

Sorry , can't help myself.

Step 1: Buy compass
Step 2: Find North
Step 3: Drive until you see a sign \"Welcome to Queensland\".
Step 4: Fit soft top boot and forget about soft top.

Failing that try Uticolour. They come highly recommended and are all over the place.

Permatex make a full on vinyl repair kit. They even include special paint to recolour the repaired area the same colour as the original vinyl.

Not sure how good it is. But I have seen it at the local Autobarn. There are two kits. One with the paint and one without. The one with the paint costs $30 or there abouts.

Might be worth a try for a DIY option.

As a slighty off que option you could have a mazda emblem badge made up on some vinyl, stiched or printed, then stitch it over the hole (depending on where the holes located & you'd need to seal it all behind the stiching etc...).

Just mine was repaired but looks a little dodgy, so I'm currenty in the midst of getting a bade of sorts to put over the patch, just gives it that bit more enthusiasts look too.
