Air Vents

Hi Fellers,
The air vents on the dash of my 2002 MX5 slowly vibrate down after a few k's any simple remedy other than jamming something into them?

i believe they have a piece of foam at the base (that keep them firmly in place) this wears away after time.. maybe pop the air vent out and take it apart and have a geez

Pull them apart and replace the little felt pads that stop them from drooping.......
It's an easy job even for the tech challenged.....

I knew I would get good advice, I will check tomorrow and see if I can remove them without too much agro.

Best way to pop them out is with something like packing tape (you know the blue plastic strip stuff you find large around cardboard boxes that you need a knife to cut off). Thread that through and loop it back and then give it a 'solid' direct pull...may help to put knees or feet on dash in some cases.
Don't use wire as it's too thin and will dint & bend the back part of the vent balls plastic.
Just a tip I learn't through trial and error.
Pretty easy job though, have fun.

Sometimes you can get away with just pushing them in a bit. It holds them a bit tighter.

I'm amazed that i haven't had this problem, if anything mine are too hard to move, expecially the centre ones

mine sag like to tomorrow!
i push mine in but 2 mins later they droop again, where do you get this \"felt\" from? mazda i presume

Try Lincraft or Spotlight...
Just ask for some sticky felt.
