NA plastic tan paint?

Hi all
Just installed a NB tan windblocker to my NA, problem is the tan from the winblocker is more of a cream colour as oppose to the orange-ish tan of the NA. Just seeing if any knows if there's a such a paint to use on plastic interior bits and the same/very close to tan colour on the NA interior? If so where can I get some?
Cheers
Minh

VHT make a colour dye, but not sure how the colours will match. As Crocaine said, Autobahn, Repco, super c or the like will sell it.

SEM brand 15173 Camel colour vinyl paint is what you need - it's almost an exact match for the early NA tan. I also had an NB tan windblocker and after a coat of the SEM stuff you couldn't tell the difference in my '91 BRG/tan car.
It was fairly tricky to find - it's not carried by Repco, etc. I ended up getting it from a smash repair supply place somewhere near Sydney (sorry, can't remember the name - but I found it via Google).
It was about $20 for the can.

If you want the vinyl paint to stick well and not start to peel off after a few months, make sure you prep the surface thoroughly before painting.
Sand the windblocker all over first, then use some metho or similar to make sure there is no residue of oil or silicone on the item.
Build up thin coats of the paint, rather than trying to do it all in 1 or 2 heavy coats.
Good luck.

Good idea Benny, might try to bead blast it first then should I worry about priming or the SEM camel stuff goes start on ok?

I completely dismantled mine (it's pretty straight forward), gave it a really light sand and a good wipe over with wax/grease remover. As Benny says - a few light coats will come up nicely. I didn't bother priming it.
Mine still looked pretty good after a year or so
Found a photo ...
This was just before I sold it, so probably 12-15 months after painting.

Incidentally, how did it all feel after sanding? Was it still fairly smooth, or was it a bit grainy?

No, I left it - it looked ok being a slightly different shade. I did "disconnect" it though so the hard plastic under the net got the new colour. From memory I had to disconnect the top of the net, roll it up and cover it in newspaper and tape - I don't think the bottom was easy to remove from the blocker.

It was smooth. I only gave it a really light sand with some fine sandpaper. I wasn't trying to cut back high spots or anything.
