Front mud guard

When my car got repaired and resprayed, panel beater asked me if I wanted to put in the mud guards (the plastic under the front fenders). Reason being if I wanted to put in high offset or wider wheels it might scrap on the inside. So I said I'll leave it out and they gave them back to be without the screws.
Now I want them back in, but not sure what screws I need. I checked the parts catalogue and they say I need a 'screw', 'nut' and a 'fastener'. I found out today from spare parts that the fastener is the black plastic ones with a Phillips head, but then it cost $2 EACH so I said fark that.
Can anyone enlighten me what actual screws/nuts I need? I don't have any spare screw or bolt lying around.
