got my hardtop today so soon the 5 will be my daily driver
but it it right up against my BD bar, some people say there is a paper thin gap but it's less than that, I put a piece of paper inbetween and they wore a hole in it in less than 1km of driving
basically the vibration from the car just idling makes a high pitched squeak come from the 2 top edges of the BD driving me crazy
so is there any way to make the hardtop a fraction higher ???
also having issues with the hardtop not clearing the softtop latches when they are in the closed position, should they be in the closed position with the hardtop on???

Maybe place a soft material, such as thin piece of rummber between the hard top and the rool bar?
I don't think it matters if the soft top latches are closed or not. The hard top has two small protrusions that sit above the soft top latches and I suspect they are there to stop the soft top from bouncing around

I got about 5mm on mine
what zoom zoom said is worth considering too
what have you done with the carpet on the rear shelf as that will gain 5mm too
try installing it without any of the trim work and carpet and see how it goes
