mmmm..
Anyidea where i can get carbon look bits for the side mirrors? i would love to be able to DIY it, or just use a snap-on type fit product??

Im sure you could walk up to any ricer on the street and ask him which aisle the \"carbon fibre\" contact is at Target

Factory bonnet is light weight as it's aluminium anyways!

A well made sheet bonnet will concertina on compression.
The RTA does not like them as they change the accident characteristics (crumple) of the car. Glass panels are not illegal if the car was designed for them originally, the Corvette has been glass bodied since the first model. See the NSW RTA website for advice on modifications.
I just don't know why you would want one on an mx5. The stock one is so light it is not funny.
On an old model Porshe 911 you will save nearly 100 kg by doing guards, doors, bonnet & engine cover.
