Headlight Covers NA6

Hi there all!

I have seen on numerous occasions where someone has posted pics of thier new na6 or 8 and someone has come long and said \"get under those headlight covers and lift em up a bit\"

I have had an extensive look at them and can't figure it out.
The mechanic I go to doesn't know what those people are talking about.
I want help with this please.
Mine are so far out of whack you could almost fit a 5cent piece through one of the gaps (not the skinny side).

Any links to other threads like this or just someone saying how it is done would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot everyone.

step1: pop the headlights up;
2: use a phillips screw driver and unscrew the screws on the black plastic covers around the headlights. there are 8 in total (2 screws on the 4 sides);
3: you'll see there are another 8 screws in total (2 on each side) that the cover is held;
4: undo them, adjust and redo them;
5: put the black covers back in the reverse order of above.
6: done and have a beer 8)

or, just pop the bonnet and gently hold the back side of the headlight assy,

gently liflt until it is the same height as the front quarter panel

close the bonnet to ensure that the amount of lift is the same as your bonnet

If yes, all good, if no, repaeat above steps til you get it right!

Hi guys

Re: point 4

If the screws are painted over what is the best way to shift them without stripping the phillips head?? Any trade secrets?? I want to remove my cover but not make a mess of the screws??

i had the same problem with mine and that's y i didn't suggest pulling cos no amount of pulling worked for me and i dun wanna damage anything.

unfortunately i had to kill those screws to do mine.

i thought about it but it's too much a risk and there is no gurantee that it'll work.

it seems those 18 yo screws on mine are a bit too soft.

I drilled 2 of them out until my mate turned up with those screw heads that are used to undo tough or rounded screws.

does anyone know with the na6 headlights,

are they supposed to pop up, on the first click, or only on the 2nd click?
