Hi all
Previous owner has managed to gutter scar l/h mags...not too badly, but enough. Can anything be done to repair? Tried local Bob Jane, but they just wanted to sell me a new set of mags...
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers

not sure where you are from but I did see an article about fixing rims but they were more bent than gutter rash

I do'nt know what size of rim you're after, but in many cases, buying brand new rims would cost hardly any more than having old ones repaired.

This will seem a bit vague, but I seem to recall seeing/hearing about a product that you would get from repco or autobahn etc, which can be used to repair minor gutter rash... My understanding was that it was like a metal filler which could then be sanded back to match the profile of the rim, and would give a standard alloy wheel looking finish. Sorry I can't be of more help, but might be worth enquiring at the local car parts type joint.

theres a bloke in Kings park in sydney that does wheel repairs
but around $150 per rim
they weld them then machine them back on a big lathe
they are like havin new rims but pretty expensive as benny said maybe cheaper to get new ones
i had two 17 inch Lensos that needed doing after a gutter jumped out and ran into my car with my girl behind the wheel they were scratched and dented
