Different kinds of detailing pads/materials...

well i got 3 meguiars detailing foam pads(all for random orbital polishers):
1. cutting foam pad
2. polishing foam pad
3. buffing/finishing foam pad

i also got a lambswool pad..my question is, what step would the lambswool pad be used? application(cutting or polishing?) or removal(buffing?) ???

and any tips in using the meguiars foam pads?

The Meguiars guy even recomended against using the lambswool pads at the detailing tech talk we had.
