Both my tension cable's are broken.

Hey everyone,

I was just snooping around my softtop today checking everything out, as it has developed little tears on both side above the windows.. Upon closer inspection i have noticed that both my tension cable's are snapped...

Does anyone know where i can get replacements? any idea what would cause this??

Im looking at getting a new top installed, anyone recommend a top?? I have been looking at the ones on ebay.. this one actually..

does anyone have any experience with them? whats the fit like, and do they come with new cables..

Hi Ryan,

I have a Robbins cloth soft top from the US of A. It didn't come with the tension cables. I reused my old ones. I'm having wear problems on my new roof, don't know if is caused by my install job, or a prob with the roof though.

If you go for one of these roofs, and you need new cables, then ask Dick at the MX-5 factory or MX5mania.

Hey Ryan,
I brought and installed the exact same roof about 2 months ago. The roof is great and fits well but you have to reuse the tension cables. Anymore questions just let us know.
