Brisbane panel beaters?

Hi guys
I've done a search but couldn't find anything suitable. I've ended up with a fair sized dint on the panel above my left front tyre. I've pulled it back by hand enough that it no longer rubs on the tyre but I want to get it fixed so I can go back to driving around corners fast without worrying about the tyre getting shredded to pieces. I've still got the standard 14 inch tyres so it's not like they're non standard, it's just the extent of the damage.
So, I live in Morningside in Brisbane and need to get it fixed, can anybody recommend someone please? Preferably near public transport so I can get to and from it easily. Yellow pages have one listing in my area but I thought I'd get an opinion from fellow 5 owners before putting it in there.
Also, it is an import and I've had some issues mechanically with parts not being non-standard, will that be a problem with how the panel is attached?

B & M Body Works
132 Lytton Rd, Balmoral
They replaced just about every panel on my mini a while ago. If its not an insurance job tell them... and pay cash. They didn't do the painting so can't vouch for that. Painter was done by John Dawson at Dawson Automotive (Wynnum Rd, Tingalpa).
Thanks but

Thanks Striped, but I've already been down there and they won't touch it as it's an import, just too many hassles they said.

How bad is it? Is it not something you can fix yourself?
Also, I saw one for sale on Carsales/Carpoint/Tradingpost in Morningside... Is that you?

My suggestion would be Dawson Automotive aswell... Logan smash repairs are also very good, but often very busy.

We have had both our daughters cars repaired at -
G J Cotterill Smash Repairs Pty Ltd
86 Taylor St Bulimba QLD 4171
ph: (07) 3899 1211
both were insurance claims and they're not MX5's.
Excellent job on both of them.

What rubbish - if it's an MX-5 we're talking about. The body panels, suspension, and anything else I can think of in there are the same as an Aus market car.

Another option - speak to Fred at:
Grand Prix Panel & Paint
Virginia 32 Matheson St 4014
(07) 3265 6255
He loves a good MX5, and knows all the right people when it comes to sourcing bits. There is a bus and train nearby.

Thanks for all the replies guys

I'll make some calls and see what they all say about non-insurance imports.
And no, it's not my car for sale, I love it too much to want to sell it, haven't even had it for a year yet. I might be forced to sell one day but not any time soon. And it's definitely not something I can fix myself because a) I don't know what I'm doing and don't want to break my car anymore then it already is and b) virtually the whole panel forward of the wheel is bent in. It almost made me cry when I saw what had happened to it.

Do the panels just bolt on? I'm sure if you gave them just a panel they'll work on it. Save you a heap in labour if your took it off too. When the need to fit it to paint/align just drive the car down.

hey,
I know your not exactly near this place but Superfinish is where my 5 currently is getting streightened and everything. They do a great job and can match paint great. They can do any car doesnt matter if its an import or not. they do our rally car which is a ex-TRD corolla with wide flairs ect.. they do it after everyrally no probs, they fitted our widebody kit to our drift sil80. The owners name is Geoff Holmes.
Their contacts are
Superfinish
40 High Street
Kippa Ring QLD 4021
PH: 3284 5400
Fax: 3833 1200
and if u go their i can keep an eye on your car as i work just across the canal from them.
I will also recomend a mobile panel beater. Well sorta he has a propercompany though mainly does big jobs for people at their houses on show, race cars in the build. He is pricey so probly not ideal he may not even do small jobs. His name is Mal Gay and has a nice evo 9 which we look after for him.
