There is a 2 wire plug that runs from the ignition switch to the passenger side of the steering column. Unplug this and you can fiddle in peace and harmony. Everything else will function as it is supposed to but the buzzer wont sound when the key is in the ignition.

It was the second job I did on the NB after I got it Jules. The first job was installing the clear reflectors/indicators. That beeping was driving me insane.

Disabling the seatbelt buzzer was the first thing I did - I think I did it in the carpark at work - I didn't even get it home.
