Well attached is a pic of my getting ready to be taken to mania for turbo install........
No Im not getting NRMA to tow my car to mania because im too much of a tight ass to pay for the fuel.....instead the fuel pump died lol...well thats what we're *hoping* it is. Back to the point - the turbo install. Using the manifold and dump pipe off an SP, GT28R turbo. By using the SP manifold, Im also able to use the mania CAI, which should give a mean sound
. No idea what its gonna make at the wheels, they reacon anywhere between 130 and 150

You can get all the SP bits from Mazda.
Why not buy a baby blue NB and SP it, could make some money

You can get all the SP bits from Mazda.
You'd better be quick though. I've heard stories of Mazda running out of spare exhaust manifolds.

Im not sure whether mania are getting these from Mazda or the same guy who does the upgrade kit for the SE...The SP manifold looks to be quite good - from looks like it would be less restrictive than the AVO one

It might look good but it's a bitch to work on. There is no clearance around the studs to get a spanner on the nuts properly. To work on them with the engine in the car requires special ground off and bent spanners that fit in the tight spaces. The same applies to most of the SP turbo/exhaust bits. Thats why the nuts fall off SP's, ie you cant tighten them up properly because you cant get a proper spanner onto them.

Since the engine is being pulled out to be rebuilt, hopefully those problems will be avoided

I'd take the opportunity to make those tools up - it's inevitable that something will need servicing, and if that person's going to be you then you'll want that hassle out of the way. I've got a special spanner ground up for my SP motorsport manifold - I even went as far as to angle grind the manifold itself to make fitment of sockets on bolts easier. And I'm glad I did! It's saved me hours of pain.

My eyes would be wide open too if they were going to probe around my rear (for the fuel pump) !
