Well my day was going well, until I woke up lol. Slept in past alarm, almost burnt myself in the shower, got to mania to drop off car and waited 20mins for someone to turn up (but that wasnt too much of a problem), couldnt drop the car off, as they were double booked. Got home, went to drive car later in evening and something has broken...it has no spark...what so ever. It cranks over, but won't start up..I dunno whats flocked up. This makes it a bitch, as its stuck in my carport, meant to be at mania tomorrow to begin turbo fitting.....lifes a bitch hey

On the NBs the main ignition relay is often the culprit in these circumstances, but I don't know if the NA shares the same circuitry. I carry a spare now thanks to Dave who has had his fail twice now. They are available from your dealer for around $35.

Double booked? Ouch.

Does the engine sound any different when cranking? Are the spark plugs wet with fuel? Are all plugs happily sitting in place?

Can you do a spark test?

I've had the main relay die on my car - a wire shorted to ground and popped it. $11 later and I had a replacement.

Thats what I thought it might of been, because the immobiliser is *supposed* to be cut power to starter motor and coil packs...

Hence my checks for fuel and spark. While typically it's spark that's missing, there's always a chance it's not. But, Mania will sort it out for you, anyway.
