aye as ye topic suggests if ye be wont to go for a drive with me bring a bucket! and start bailing!

passenger side foot well had a puddle in it!? couldnt find any leak paths though, as in wet trails of carpet or what not to suggest where it was running in from.

anyone know if theres a common prob here? or is it just something to live with

Shouldn't need to be something to live with:

1) If the water's green, your heaters leaking. Expensive PITA.
2) If you've been running the aircon, check that the hose that takes the condensate away isn't blocked. This is a common problem.
3) Check the drain holes at each side of th soft top rain rail. These commonly get blocked and can be cleaned with a coathanger.

Cheers,
Alf

It's at the bottom of the evaporator facing towards the engine. There should be a 12mm rubber tube attached to the end of a plastic nipple on the evaporator housing that runs to the transmission tunnel then outside the car. The tube may have been knocked off or the drain may be blocked in the pipe or inside the evaporator.

The car's ECU is in the passenger footwell too so I certainly hope that it hasn't gotten water into it!
