Just disconnected my original radio (NA6). and am not too sure what all the different wires are. (im installing a new radio)
There is the black grounding wire in the centre - I know what this one is.
A large black coaxial cable form the right - Is this power from the battery? If so my new radio say it needs both positive and negative, does this mean i will have to run another wire from the battery?
Two connectors with wires, one on top of the other, on the left hand side - Are there all the wires from the speakers? I have the two door speakers and the headrest speakers.
Can anyone help me out?
UPDATE: Yay got the radio going . The problem is i pulled out the speakers and forgot to mark which wire went on what connector. Does it matter? I have two wires, both red, one with a white stripe and the other with a green. Back at the radio connector end the wires are a different colour so i cant tell which is negative and positive. I connected it up to the speaker trying both combinations and they both worked. Does it matter which way i connect it to the speaker? I thought it, but it worked both ways.

Wow thanks for all the links.
I just found a coaxial connection at the back of the radio, so i assume that this is NOT for the power. What is the coaxial cable for then, antenna?
In that case i also assume that power is coming from one of the two connectors. How can i find out which ones are for the power.
The reason why i ask is because the radio i bought comes with an adaptor on one end (that fits into the radio) and the other end is just wires, so i will have to do soldering even if i get the adaptor.
I know what all the wires mean on the back of the new radio, its just that i dont know what the ones in the car are.
Anyways its off to the shops to get me the adaptor.
Edit: I just saw a picture of the adaptor i need to get, looks easy because they are colour coded, matches the ones on the back of the new radio so i guess its just a case of matching colours So it shouldnt be a probem..
