Split seat

Hi guys & girls,
Friends NA has a split in the headrest. Friend is wondering what sort of tape works best to put over the split to stop it getting worse until a visit to motor trimmer (or whatever they are called) in a few months?

lots and lots of duct tape
or if it's getting replaced get a funky looking iron on patch :D

LOL - thanks guys - dunno if they'll go for the patch but you never know. Will pass on choice of patch or duct tape...
