Reviving the paint

On my way to work yesterday morning, in typical fashion that nothing good comes from work, a stone chip struck. Got hit on the drivers pop up light cover and then it moved on to leave a nice chip in the windscreen about the size of a 10 cent piece.
My question is has anyone had any luck bringing some life back to the paint work on the 5? Overall my paint looks good, but in some places i have swirls, light scratches, chips and even markings near the petrol cap were previous owners have scraped the paint with the fuel pump. Anyone recommend any good products, or techniques to working on the paint, or even recommend someone that can do a good job in the Western Sydney area? Also has anyone ever had chips repaired in the windscreen, rough figures on cost? Thanks.
