Just Pull em up. Gently does it and take care not to exert too much pressure. Use as many fingers as possible spread around the cover so you dont pull the covers out of shape.

Hope this makes sense.

Dont you just hate when non-mx5 owners go to look in your engine bay and the first thing they do is \"go in for the kill\" and lean on the the headlight covers... rrr..

sh*ts me to tears, they bend so easily, you have to lunge in with the... \"dont lean on the...\"
One of mine was sunken slighty at one of the top corners, and just took 10sec to 'lovingly' pull it level again.

Can't you adjust how low they go by turning the knob on the top of the mechanism that raises/lowers the lights?? :?

No, they will go back to their regular position. If bending them doesn't achieve the desired result there are 4 bolts underneath the black plastic cover to aid with alignment.

Hey Initial_mx5...

Mine were sunken down when I got mine as well...

Use your hands when the bonnet is up and just pull with all your strength mate! Bend them back into place with your hands...Easy.

1) remove plastic headlight surround...2) loosen screws holding cover and adjust height as required.

the screws that hold the steel cover are very soft and the phillips head strips out easy. i drilled mine out and replaced with stainless ones.
