To All....

I've just spent the long weekend painting both my clipers and rocker cover :)

Does your lettering stick out? Looks like it from the pics

From what I can recall, I think the lettering on mine are indented into the cover

Yeh the letters are raised, so you just sand off the paint once it's dried.
This is a 1.8L Rocker cover....

Hey Roderic that looks pretty nice! Job well done.

I wish i could sand my letters like that but ive got a 1.6L one :| painting the letters just doesnt look as \"meant to be\" like that sanded finish.

What brand/colour paint did you use on there???
is it metallic or a light wrinkle finish?

Cheers.
L.

Thats the VHT Wrinkle Paint, got it from AutoPro here in WA. I think they sell it at Auto Bahn in the East.
You could try using tape cut in the letters to see if that works.....

This is something I'd love to do....for removing the rocker cover, its just unplug the spark plug leads, disconnect teh oil vent line and undo the bolts right? when refitting, how do u \"gap the plugs\" if that has to be done
