From what I can gather it's a pr*ck of a job. Much better to pay some poor unsuspecting person to do it for you.

I was thinking to stripe mine too, but have since changed my mind.

Apparently you can get some graphics places to print you full vinyl stripes (like contact), this way you can take it off again easily if you didnt like it..

not sure how feasible an idea it is, or how expensive it is but it might be worth investigating.

Nahh don't paint them on, just use a vinyl sticker stripes.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I think you cover the paint with a lot of soapy water so you can slide the stripes into position.

I think there's a \"how to\" on miata.net

If you have a Red NA, whatever you do ....do not put silver stripes on it.....a certain Vic club President of Vice would have a pink fit if yet another Red Silver striped NA turned up on the roads..

Then again it might be fun to do it just to p!ss him off. .... :P
Heres an example of two Tassie cars with stripes.

Here is another link. This time to an old post on this forum. Pics of a white Vic Club car with blue stripes. Also details of a local company that might be able to assist.

That Malibu could do with silver stripes, me thinks.

Or you could go with red stripes and wear a red wig - you might even get a sponsor to pay for the stripes then

You'll probably get badder when you install the dunny pipework under the Marvin's hood!

We did it with white contact. Taped a length of string over the car to get a centreline and measured from there.

It helps that our Hyundai isn't the curviest of cars. :)

Looking through the windscreen in that front pic, it looks like there's some dude in a red balaclava on the hill!

Probably owner of said car
