my dash is showing the first signs of cracking

I said when igot that car that if i got a crack i'd replace the interior with the newer one for the NB.
So, who was it on here that did thw swap. costs???
I'm assuming that i'd have to swap the dash cockpit, console and door trim...?

might turn it back down... don't really neeeed that extra power and
fuel costs.
Costs involved? Rod mentioned around $2k completed! If you can't afford the timing bump, i'd not recommend the dash swap bud!

What were the biggest hurdles??
Heater cables and hoses?
Door skins?
Electrics?
What major parts from the NB needed to be carried over apart from the dash skin and door trims??

Make sure you get the wiring plugs, Heater/AC Panel, Centre Console, Steering wheel surround, meter hood, door pulls.......and a way to cover the blown passenger airbag (if its gone off). Dont get a new airbag from Mazda...$3K
The heater/AC cables all line up, thats the easy bit. Only one you need to work out are the adapting the wiring for the AC Controls.
The rest is not too bad and you should be able to do yourself.
Getting the door pulls to work it a little tricky but any car audio shop can do it.
If you need any help let me know......
Rod.

Yeh if you want to keep your Headlights Up/Down button, you will need to get a $2 switch from JayCar. Simple three wire, filp switch will do. Basically there are three wires :
1+2 = down
2+3 = up
I kept mine.....made a din panel with turbo timer, headlight switch and serial port extension cable coming from my Wolf.
