Isn't that the idea? The brake pedal is higher so when you push it down in comes in line with the accelerator - at which point you shift your foot and blip the throttle.

Or is it much higher than the accelerator?

They should be as Mr_Q describe it, if anything you may want wider pedals to reduce the gap between the pedals making it easier to heel toe. But I've never bothered, my boots seem wide enough!

I have adjusted the brake pedal height to make heel and toe more manageable with my favourite driving shoes. I had the Enthusiast Manual beside me as I did it, but from what I can recall, it was fairly obvious when you get to it. I found that the throttle pedal was not height adjustable in the floor area, but the brake pedal height was.
