Hey.
Does anyone know of a good place to buy things like chrome vent rings, scuff plates, headlight covers etc without the crazy dealer prices?

I got mine from Moss Motors landed here about $35 roughly. I noticed theres a bunch on ebay at the moment starting price of $27.. that might be a goer.

Buying this stuff OS is the go, much cheaper but you have to wait. The ones I got were the exact same ones Mania sold me the first time around for lots more $

You dont have to wait!!!!

MX5parts UK shipped my clear reflectors, repeaters and high mount stop light same day as ordered.

Ordered Saturday afternoon (our time), rec. dispatch authority 1 hr later.

Rec goods on Tuesday Morning!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beat that for customer service, let alone so much cheaper on price :)

You are right fig, thats fab service! I found MMotors to be a little on the slack side, no emails advising when item was posted etc but the goods did arrive in excellent packing once I got them. Next time I buy from the UK store... I'd love to give my business locally (well from syd) but when you end up saving like a third of the price its hard to resist buying goods OS, however, if I did live in Syd it'd be a different story as I could pop straight in chat to Simone and walk out with the goods...

Has anyone bought anything from www.miatamania.com before?

Their prices seem reasonable (USD I believe)

I have bought a few parts off Moss Motors, i always find that the parts i buy cost less than the shipping to get it here.. :?

But I find ordering off them quick and easy, and i usually recieve goods in about a week..

I do highly recommend buying parts form, The Crazy Red Italian..

http://www.crazyred.com/cri/pages/

I always find them extremely helpful, and informative.. I usually buy my parts through them, as it is a smaller business than Moss, they keep in contact with their customers, with personal emails.. and they seem very dedicated to the mx5 scene.

just my 2cents :D

I can also happilly recommend MX5parts.co.uk. They were incredibly friendly and responsive to emails and I received the parts within a week! If this was ebay, I would give them an "A+++++++ rating"

Now, to hijack the thread slightly: Can anyone recommend somewhere in Melbourne who can cover the centre console cover with leather? I've been meaning to have this done for as long as I can remember, but never quite got around to it!
I work in the city 8:30 - 5:00pm, so someone I can post the cover to may be preferable.

Thanks guys,

Chris

mx5parts.co.uk I'd definitely recommend, too. Lots of products and very fast delivery!

I've had horrible dealings with miatamania.com where I've ordered online and nothing's been debted from my card for months, and they will not reply to any email I've sent to them via hotmail or via their feedback form on the website. Personally, I think they can jam their \"service\" up their ass
Vroommm.

Going by the feedback I had read in this thread about MX5Parts UK, I thought Id give them a try...

I got my Chrome dress up bits in less than 3 business days.

Id highly recommend these guys.

Well; it's off to the UK store for me! OTT, are there any wreckers in Melb that specialise in MX5's? Also, has anyone used Gary & Warren Smith Mazda for their servicing?
