what is involved in a brown davis install?

Is it a just, screw in a few bolts for the seatbelt tower, and drill a few holes into the back rear for the mounting points?

I'll be installing my steel BD bar tomorrow and just wondering if I'm supposed to cut away the plastic trim where the windblocker bolts in or should it just slide in with minimal trim butchering?

Thanks,
T

I did a note after installing two, but cant find it quickly....I seem to recall....
- two people or four hands is mandatory at certain stages.
-removing seats is a must, and some of our seat bolt were REALLY VERY TIGHT!
- a sharp 10mm drill bit is good, but shorter than normal, or a short drill unit, is a big help in getting a good angle under the lifted up softtop.
- you might need to remove some metal under the rear deck to be able to start the nuts on the bolts

Um, why would you need to remove the seats? I'm fitting mine tomorrow but have it secured by the seatbelt bolts at the moment to get it home from Mania. All I can see is I need to pop a few holes and bolt it up.

It gives you more room during the install.

I'd take the seats out. Will only take 5 minutes per seat and will give you a lot more rooom to maove around the cabin. 8)

I still don't think it's worth taking the seats out. I didn't and really they didn't get in the way. I'm sure it might be easier with them out but to save on time and hassle I didn't bother.

Question:

How many of these things do you need?
They are the washer type things on the original seat belt bolt. i think there is 3 in total.
Take away one of them? or install with none, or install with all?
It'll affect how high the BD bar sits correct?
