There are a bunch of different tools you can use to counteract weight changes with setup.
Corner weighting the car like you mentioned and Madjak explained is a way to fix the weight that goes onto each tyre but you can also use other setup tools to counteract the tendencies that changing weight in different parts of the car will cause with things like sway bars, aero, springs etc..

Other ways is to move weight around, for example battery to the middle or other Sid.

Re: Weight reduction? How do I add lightness?
It has begun. Today I removed the air con radiator/heat exchanger thingy, all the lines from the bay, relay and plug. The fan was already out as I'm swapping radiators. Have left the compressor as I still want to get a good video of the performance with the supercharger before I sell that and bolt on my turbo.

Looks like you need the non AC pipe that connects the fresh/recirc flap to the heater box, behind the glove box. It's super light weight.

Excuse my ignorance but do I need this for something to function?
Thankyou

Re: Weight reduction? How do I add lightness?
It allows you to connect the air inlet/blower fan from scuttle panel to heater box if you want to retain heater/blower for screen demisting. I'd just rip it all out and leave only the screen vents. Get creative and install a mini blower type fan connected directly to the screen vents. It loses a little weight but it simplifies underdash area which makes maintainence way easier.

Re: Weight reduction? How do I add lightness?
take the heater / fan out too... Just don't breathe on cold days!
I had plans to replace the blower with a couple of CPU fans and a heater of some sort, but I never needed it. The only time my windscreen fogs up is on cold days down at Albany. And then the issue is fixed if I leave the windows down so the inside temp equals the external temp and the windscreen stays clear. Might not be appropriate for a daily though.

Bought some of Richard's (aka bear2230) beautiful anodized tow hooks.
Look forward to bolting them in and ditching the stockies
