Hi Stan, Seeing this was like a whack on the back of the head with a cushion, who could forget the images of 'Patchy' looking so forlorn in the garden circa 2009 (?)
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

So lets take it back a bit. I think this pic from around mid 2009 might even be here a few pages back

Image

This is as far yelow she ever got. essentially it turned out to be disaster. The paint got all these blotches like the measels beneath the clearcoat.

and eventually the clearcoat came off
like here

this is where we take things up. This pic was taken march 2013. 6 moths earlier a shcool mum most likely bumped into door when it was parked near a school. Then just a few days before an OS trip. the neighbour finished it off with backing his towbar into the door.

I left her in the driveway for months without looking at her. not driving her. id only just got her re-registered too i'd had her off road for just under 3 months. in total. 2013 she must have spent 6 months off road. When stuff broke i just got her home & left here for a few weeks before looking at her.

A new door & front panel were eventually purchased I decided to paint them red. & thus got motivated to try to get the whole car red again.

started with the easy bits first.

I did panel by panel. Its far from perfect , but so much better than the Dijon.
