I did it to mine with a flat blade screwdriver and a hairdryer. The orange bit inside is just held in with 2 screws, You should try it, very easy to do will take you an hour or so. I also swaped my indicator with my parking lights, so now the indicator is on the outside where the parkers where.

Heres a step by step guide for you, if your interested.

I just did this to my lights tonight...mind you it took me a few months to be bothered. Being impatient I did slightly crack a corner of one clear lens off but nothing a little silicon cant glue back together and good as new. I only took the orange lens' out, i didn't do the wiring for the parker lights as I like the indicator in the middle. I am surprised at how much of a difference it makes and looks from the front, especially with clear indicators and reflectors. So many small things like this add up and can make a car look really nice. Will post pictures tomorrow before and after shots.

Don't worry NB8A owners, you can do this mod too!

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

That's a good mod for an NB8A, they do look pretty wierd with the orange lens in.

Not so much bashing required.

I just gave it a bit of lovin' with the dremel then realised it was much easier to chomp chunks of the reflector out with some tin snips.

It also saves you having to vacume all the fine particles out.

green_comet wrote:*please not* your indicator will blink at a faster rate, after doing this modification. Because there is less current being used to run the blinkers, (because the of the smaller bulbs) the opertaion of them will speed up.. to about the same speed as when one of your globes are blown... but its well worth it..

good luck.

cheers
Ryan

Did the conversion today. All OK. I used Narva clear globes part # 47526BL (High Stop) they are 21 watt the same as the blinkers so you DO NOT have to put a resistor in and your blinkers will NOT flash at a faster rate. You just have to make the hole slightly bigger. They are a 15mm wedge globe but they fit perfectly in the stock 10mm base. All I did then was coat the clear globes with amber lens dye.
