Re: Morning Fresh
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

My father always washed his cars with a bucket of cold water and 1/2 cups of kerosene - always shined, always got the tar off and people would always be eager to buy his it came up for sale

Re: Morning Fresh
Had a read and that would be the most unconvincing article I have read in regards to car wash its just another persons opinion with no facts and from some one that's trying to protect the industry he is in

As I sad MF is neutral PH the shine is still there after washing and after hoseing down the paint was spot free and windows were sparkling clean.
Why so much negativity

Re: Morning Fresh
Don't do it. I've seen the results of frequent washing of trucks with similar and it stuffed the paint. Dish washing detergent has degreaser type additives amongst other things. Look at what they are designed to do then ask yourself if that's the type of product you want to wash your car with. I now use a special truck wash that has "shinning" agents in it that add to the paint.

Re: Morning Fresh
I've heard of baby shampoo too...don't laugh !
Tried it, works well [WINKING FACE].
If it's good enough for a baby it's good enough for your baby lol...btw say away from any dishwashing liquid, over time it's NOT clear coat safe....too late when you find out.

I've used Ajax powder cleaner to polish a pair of shaved side markers.

Mr sheen works a treat, and if sprayed on before a long country run the bugs just about fall off if you slam the door.

Re: Morning Fresh
Okay so the truth is and I think someone pointed it out: if your car is proper filthy you should use Dishwashing detergent IF (AND ONLY IF) you are going to follow up with wax/sealant to protect the paint again.
Detergent is made to eat into grease etc so it's great at getting off heavy dirt but the downside is that it will continue to eat your clear coat. if you are doing you're weekly wash/monthly wash DO NOT use detergent. Car cleaning products are made to be less aggressive and therefore leave more on. (think about it.. A detailer will try to remove any damages to the paint while leaving as much paint on the car as possible)
Nothing will beat the shine, depth and clarity of a properly detailed car.

If that works, imagine how good WD40 would be, it may even work while crossing the Hay Plain through a locust storm.
