Dale, FWIW my old can of 'PowerPlus Spray & Brush System' 'PJ9070' 'SNB 150 Light Silver Met' says it's an 'acrylic paint', & notes: '...for many reasons variations in the colour of the original paint and this product may occur'. I've noticed a slight difference when I've used the above on NA8 OEM wheels, but put it down to the original wheel paint having faded with time.

My biggest problem is that its not just the caps, I have removed some paint bubbles near the centre cap and around the bolt holes so the paint I have is slightly darker around that part of the wheel.
I have painted one complete wheel, and although it came up Ok, the colour is darker and the finish isn't as shiny either .
