i just got off mt butt and went and took some photos ,here they are. I'm suggesting something like this as an alternative to a full cover . To look after your new hood.

This one is basically a prototype, anymore that are made will fit tighter, to stop any wind from getting underneath.

The mob in NZ make these - I bought one through Mania a while back. Used it a few times on hot days and it works well.

The guy that i bought the car off made it. I find it really easy to put on and use. A lot easier than a full cover.

A custom made full cover is very easy to fit- refer other post. If one parks on the street you would expect either a cover to be stolen or vandalised. The Healey factory close to MX5 Fact could also provide some contacts on soft tops. When I was looking for a MX5 a bloke living in North Melb was on his 3 top all through break ins to his car parked outside.

The Mania supplied cockpit cover has a tab that the boot closes on that would prevent theft (unless they cut the straps, which would stuff the cover anyway).

   How hard could it be to fit?

Step 1: Take cover out of bag.

Step 2: Lay cover over car.

Step 3: Clip tabs in place....

Wow, actually... That makes no sense at all. Drive to Sydney and get mania to do it

I believe he was replying to my question as to whether the quoted pricing included fitting of the soft-top

So Guys, Prestige Hoods - Good bang for buck ?

I need a new roof, and Mr Rudd has been good enough to give me a very generous tax return this year ....

The Minister for War and Finance has approved the Capitol spending and bow i need to grab a roof ...

Happy to fit myself, so can save $$$ there, but are the $495 ones any good on an early Na ?
