Reminds me about 20 years ago a guy I worked with used to Armorall his motorbike tyres. He didn't take kindly to me suggesting how stupid that was, That is until he fell off

Care to share which shops stock it, i havent had much luck finding it at supercheap or autobarn locally.

Me too

If you put shoe polish on the roof, won't that rub off onto the rear view plastic/glass?

Try boating stores like Whitworths or Bias Boating.

You are after 303 Protectant, not Youngs 303 like I said earlier. I got confused with one of my other hobbies.

Specifically this product

And I would be interested to try this one....

If your roof is made from vinyl, pressure wash and then apply Youngs 303.

I finally found it, in Autobarn and it was about 20 bucks. Repco and Supercheap Auto had never heard of it.

The guy that sold me the last bottle said he uses it on his Alfa soft top, and it's only 2-3 times a year he applies it.

Will give it a go over Xmas and let everyone know how it went.

The Autobarn near my place (and I assume most do) have stocked this for quite a while, but ignored cause I never heard of it and it looked quite dodgy, and it was more expensive than Armorall for the same size; $16 vs $10.

The one I found is called 303 Aerospace Protectant as per the links adamjp posted. Pretty fruity name.

I test-sprayed it, and so once again ..... why is this MUCH better than armorall? Is it just cause it dries better and less greasy?

The website is oh so convincing .... \"Trumark Slingshots
recommends 303 Aerospace Protectant to protect and extend the life of their Latex Powerbands.\" :?

sorry if this is a bit late but this stuff is awesome
RENOVO products
comes in two parts the cleaner and the protector
made by the poms in conjunction with MG

i bought mine in Penrith NSW from Nepean classic cars ( they sell MG's )

the little bottle is a clear plastic window polish that is very good to
brings the roof back to new and only needs to be done like once a year
