You would have to start at the front of the car or the rear of the engine bay to stop air getting up under it.

Time and effort to smooth the bottom of the car wouldn't be worth the benefit on a daily driver.

But think of the street cred. That would be sooo hot IMO. 8)

I have an unhealthy obsession with them.

Every MX-5 owner (NA+NB+NC) should black out their mufflers. The silver crap sticking out below the bumper is ugly.

I polish mine. The SP's exhaust system is a stainless steel work of art 8)

It was purchased from my friendly local Mazda dealer, not too sure on the price.

well if the blinkers are still clearly visible when blinking and the reflectors still reflect...theres no issue.

i didnt go crazy with the nightshades...just a few coats so they still reflect/blink.

I've done some blacking out too. 20% window tint. Smoked indicators. I tinted the reflectors but replaced them back with originals because they didn't exactly reflect much light after the nightshades. I have been thinking about the taillights too but don't have a spare if i stuff up. Might do them "lightly" one day.

That one doesnt work for me....think the difuser needs to be painted black, and i bet it captures heaps of air as well :)

well seeing as it comes unpainted, it wouldn't be too much extra effort to paint the diffuse part black.

oh, and surely the actual effectiveness of the thing is hardly the point anwyay andrew
