Have you considered replacing the plastic joints on the headlight lift mechanism to stop it freeplaying and moving so much?

i used a hella rectangular light, and its much better than stock...
you may loose a tiny bit at the bottom, but its not a big deal as its like 50cms infront.. you never look there anyway, and sitting a little lower youll never see that space.

Doing a search on the big forum turned up lots of bad reviews of them.
Search "euro" or "eurocrap" on the big forum.

i did find this quote from the big forum thread re flush kits "It has been argued rather definitively that the Moss low-pro light output is far better than stock -- a point unanimously agreed on by those owning them -- and better than even the Cibie and E-Code barn door upgrades."

also:

Just for the record it's not the low profile or the flush kits that make bad light output. It's the lights used in a kit. A Hella 90mm in a low profile kit or in a properly designed flush kit is superior to a stock headlight. Just as a Code-e or high output 7" is supiorer to a stcok headlight.

short range lighting? im not so scared, i am not a huge fan of the pop ups bouncing at speed on rural roads, and neither are the truck drivers coming toward me with their kilowatt plus light bars that seem to think that im high beaming them

Iwas talking specifically about the lack of close up lighting due to the angle from the head light down to the the road being so shallow that the light only starts hitting the road much futher away due to the bumper shielding it.

I never argued against the hella 90mm units, everyone knows that are very very good for the size. it was the placement/light shielding properties of that type of install.
BTW heres a cheap place for the Hellas.... they use a focussing "Blind" to get the low beam cutoff correct for LHD and RHD. to convert from LHD to RHD just pull unit aprt, flip over the blind and re assemble.

heres a cheap place to get them......

Thanks heaps Daz, that cleared that bit up for me ...

There are 3 lines going to the Headlights,

Red, Black & Silver......

The New lights had 3 comming off it

Yellow, Black & Red....

Anyone have a clue ?? or maybe a wiring diagram for the low profile headlights ?

It has me stumped. :/

black is earth,

red is probably high beam,
silver is probly low beam... but u can check them easily enough,
connect them up and see what works in which position, you wont blow anything.
