Stan,
Just gotta say I love this thread - because you're doing it yourself. Starting with a picture in your head of where it's gonna end up and following it through with paint in your hair and grease under your fingernails.
I like it because I can relate to it - feel sometimes I spend more time under the car than in it, but at least I'm always learning something, and it feels good to finish a job and know you did it, rather than just paid for it.

Cheers UA. I really appreciate your moral support. But I do have to admit. if I had the money. I'd let a pro do it for me.
Nah - so much fun to be had. If I'd have paid someone to do all the work on Max, I'd still be paying someone else to do all the work on Max.....

![Image](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj320/StanTheMan1989/DSCF1553.jpg)
Rust......its about the size of an average thumb.
This is a better view.

I've manged to stop stressing.
Its getting welded up tonight. It will be a late one. The rest of the car is almost ready for sealing primer.
Keep you posted in the next few days.

Far out I feel schagged again. That hasn't happened since I married.
But apart from that. Big Day.
I started with removing the weatherstip
![Image](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj320/StanTheMan1989/DSCF1557.jpg)
and from another angle
![Image](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj320/StanTheMan1989/DSCF1558.jpg)
Then the final round of rub down with 600 all around.
Then it was time to wash & then to clean it with Wax & grease remover.
![Image](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj320/StanTheMan1989/DSCF1559.jpg)
Then the agony started
taping off all the bits. what a f#$%ng pain that was. Probably also because I was starting to run out of time & sunshine
![Image](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj320/StanTheMan1989/DSCF1560.jpg)
Then I tried to jsck the car up & took the wheels off but I nearly stuck disaster. Because the ground is sloped It started leaning & nearly toppeled over onto the chasis without the wheels. I was a little stressed & forgot to take a pic. But the wheels
But it was saved just in time.
Then the school kids had to be picked up & I rushed the bonnet. Took me a while to figure it all out but the bonnet has to be done again tomorrow
But the rest of the car is now Primed.
The front bumper is comming off tomorrow as well to get its seperate treatment.
This is how patchy looks now.
