A couple of years ago I posted this about the same window with what is likely a related problem;
NB 8A Window Clunk on the way up near the top

There I spoke about the miracle solution to my clunking problem.
But what I didn't realise at the time (the car is mostly garaged) is this was probably the same time the window started leaking.
And I have only just realised this is because the window doesn't quite close. Compared with the passenger side.
I went searching for similar problems and this youtube video provided my solution;

In my case, the white plastic clip that holds the middle of the upper window cable in place, had just popped out.
So I didn't have to replace a failed clip with a single cable tie looped through and around the cable and back into the original hole.
Although I did put a small cable tie through the barb of the plastic clip to try and prevent it popping out again.
And going back to my original problem with this clunking window.
I assume now it must have been when this plastic clip originally popped out. It must have been fouling the window movement somehow. And leaving a mark on the window to. And I just got lucky when going up and down with the window to free it.
