NB Windblocker disassembly impossible?

Postby Danny » Sat Sep 29, 2018 7:30 pm

I need to tighten the nuts for the brackets on the windblocker but can't. Does anyone know how I remove the cover so I can access the 2 nuts? I've done a search without any success. Thanks.

I seem to recall (but was a long time ago) there's clipped on plastic covers over the bracket attachments each side of the windblock. I took the brackets off somehow to modify them so that the blocker fit with my roll bar on my NA - just can't remember exactly how ...

I can't figure it either. The back ones come off easily but the front ones over the nuts unclip along one edge but seem locked on the opposite edge. They can only pop off or slide down but neither action is working.

don't remember how I took mine out, but if you go to the Mazdaspeed Tech manuals at
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B3YbfB30DxW0bEdwS0xSNGVXMzA
and the "Interior Trim" manual, pages 25-29 might help.

Thanks Ian. Looks like I need to just apply enough force to pop it off. I'll try again in the morning and spray some WD40 first.

Got it off. Thanks Kev for confirming it was possible and Ian for the link.
