Sunvisor blanks

Postby captaincabinets » Mon Nov 07, 2016 11:06 pm

Hi all

Anyone know where to get sunvisor blanks for NB in Australia?

Found them overseas but $30 seems a bit much for a couple tiny things.

Thanks

I know what you mean, they look like wood joiners with a couple of countersunk holes drilled in, 0.5% materials cost, 99.5% intellectual property/equipment cost/freight.

I plan to buy a sheet of ply (or rummage around junkpiles) and cutting out a shape to fit, spraypaint it and fit. I find the removable rubberised plastic spraypaint texture suits well to the plastics.

it would be easy to make from alu- - just mark out a profile - cut , file, and smooth with a sheet of free cut or wet and dry. It does take time so that might be a factor.
