Thread revival again!

Knox do indeed now have a carpet set for MX5's, on the website it says 'Please enquire over the phone if you would like the deck carpet'... so I did this morning.

The response was that they don't make the parcel shelf part.

Yep, I emailed them the other day.
'No we don't supply the deck carpet.'

No idea why not.

While you are there tell them they should make one, and that they will subsequently sell many more MX5 carpets!

I did mention it.
They were adamant that there were too many parcel shelf variations. No idea where that information came from.

I slapped a NB8b carpet in my na......All Good

Only issue I had was seat belt holes needed to be cut for the receivers & there was a small square hole cut in the deck carpet.... for what I assume may have been a hole for the wind blocker.

Yeah that's always a better choice.
I bought red carpet though, good luck finding a second hand red carpet set.

Might have been a hole for demister plug?
The windblocker in mine only attached to the seatbelt towers, nothing went through carpet.

Not that it matters at all.

For others, especially with odd colours, the parcel shelf is a fairly easy piece to trim, being flat for most of it, with only the rear section needing a curve.
And even that shouldn't be too hard to do neatly if you keep in mind to place the seams towards the seatbelt area where they're harder to find.

My GF trimmed the parcel shelf in her NA with just flat sections on generic automotive carpet and it came out really neat (she did a one piece carpet from the rain rail down to the floor behind the seats, so no seam at all on the parcel shelf/bulkhead corner.

I have no clue, the hole is about 20mm X 20mm in the center of the rear deck about where the base of the wind blocker base would have sat. I'm assuming it was a speaker wire loom hole it looks like its been there from factory. :S

Lucky i had a spare square of the same texture/colour carpet.... i just placed it under the deck carpet where the hole sat.
