Yep haha, but you would probably be pulled over by a cop in a new ford falcon which uses its foglights as DRL's haha.

and they don't blind oncoming drivers so a cop won't pull me over since it got in his eyes

i'd be surprised if more NB drivers didn't use them... Just seems to risky to be running around without any kind of DRL in these things. Like I never did it in my NA because I accidently left them on once and came back to a dead battery but the NB has a warning chime so that won't happen

Don't worry, one of your fogs is covered anyway.

Yeah, but I'm sure they'd still pull you up on it if they wanted to.
It has occurred to me that even though your average Melbourne-ite drives in fog once every... quite a while, and that not all cars have fog-lights, it's still most likely illegal to have a broken or covered fog-light in Victoria.

I'd like to replace mine with some sort of DRL or duct but I'm still figuring out how what and why.

I had a centre MX5 Plus bracket and chopped off a leg to mount it to the side. Easy.

You can fit drls in the grille area ( in the corners) - work very well-and fogs are definitely not legal except for inclement weather. Fogs also run 110watts and do not function like a erl. Erl is the only way to go to be seen.

DRL? Daytime running light.
I replaced my foglight bulbs with 20w LEDs.
Not bright so don't blind other drivers, but they look like drl due to being crisp white led colour.
Never been pulled up for them.

I know DRL, ERL is new to me haha
My plan would be down the road to install real bright bulbs or newer spot/flood lights into them (obviously wouldn't use them as DRL's then) but want DRL's to replace them
