Sounds like we did an identical install then.. Do you find yours has a bit of play if you rotate it?

Yeah I know what your mean by a bit of play you can rotate the stick a few mills left and right, but man doe the shifts feel amazing! Maybe I have a good condition gb but during cold starts it just pops into gear

Maybe we can find a nylon cap to fit over the key to fill the gap rather than on the shifter

Just put the plastic notch thing back in and file it out a bit .. worked really well for me and no play whatsoever ..

I also coated it with a thin layer of grease in the plastic notch and all around the ball .. runs very smooth with no plat at all .

After I removed My plastic notch, I too have no idea where it's gone when I went to pack up / clean up

I have a fix guys..

It costs about $5 from Masters. Pack of 5 screws that are the same thread pitch as the hex bolt it comes with but the screws have a larger head and just fit in the shifter slot with the plastic removed.

Will post pic and post number when I get home.

If you've taken the plastic thing out, the head of the bolt fits in there with less then 1mm gap.

If you are using SS screws into alloy castings use a little copper ease or some brake part grease. They will be so much easier to get out.
