paint repair/detailing products

Postby wheezy » Thu Oct 03, 2013 1:54 am

Okay guys, so I'm looking to detail the heck out of my car.
I am trying to see if I can rid my life of swirl marks.
There are also a few small small chips and one fade from not getting rid of bird poop soon enough.

Im looking to restock my detailing products with something new.

Without the suggestion of touch up paint, what are your best go to products?

waxit.com.au
everything you need.

email them, tell them the car, possibly pics of the damage and they can suggest the correct types of Pads and polishes to use and in what order.
They sell orbital polishers too.

one stop shop.

Not sure where you're located but ditto the above for Car Care products.

If you're in Sydney you can drop in and the guys will only be too happy to inspect your car and give you some advice.

As a starting point you'll need:

2 buckets, one with a grit guard
Microfiber wash mitt
Ph neutral detergent
Microfiber drying towel (waffle weave type)
Clay bar
DA polisher
APC to clean wheels, engine bay etc

A DA is the only way to effectively remove swirls. The right pad and compound depends on the condition of your paint. The above kit will help you maintain your paintwork for 8-12 months before you need to do it again.

Good luck!
