Windscreen sticker
Hey guys, i have recently purchased a banner sticker for the windscreen of my NA8 however, once i have applied it on, it would just crease and bubble up on the bends due to the curved glass on the windscreen. can anyone help me out with a solution in successfully applying this sticker on my car.
Here's a picture of what the sticker looks like so you get the idea:

Re: Windscreen sticker
1) why on earth would you want to advertise cigarettes?
2) you cant avoid those bubbles and creases with such a large flat piece. You need the reverse in a vinyl, you can apply it to any shape.

Re: Windscreen sticker
How tall are you? It looks to compromise visibility considerably.
Do the ends of the sticker go over the seals on the side or ends on the glass?

Hi.
Be careful that is cigarette advertising which is not allowed by law. The ex racing HDT commodores are not allowed to display the marlboro name on the cars.

Would be a defect. Cannot protrude below highest point of windscreen wiper sweep.
On P Plates ... you just stuck a target on there.

Yeah, trim top & bottom of banner to give you better visibility, & you should find less bubbles & creases also.

Check your local window tinter- they will have the touch and technique if anyone does. It might have to be heated a little. However if it is already in place it is likely to stretch taking it off.

Re: Windscreen sticker
I swap up the window banners often in rally prep, the trick is a combo of windex and water.
Water down some windex in a spray bottle, apply a heap to the top of the windscreen, get a friend to help lay out the banner, peel off the backing and position it where you would like.
The windex/water will allow you to make adjustments as needed. Use a credit card to smooth out bubbles and if you want super smooth get a razor blade and trim the sticker around the windscreen frame. Leave it all for a few minutes then just clean up any excess windex.

Thanks for sharing your opinions however, that in no ways helps contribute to the intended post.
Thanks to others for the help and tips.
Yes, of course i will be cutting off the edges and getting a better fit on it. The picture is just a rough idea of how it would look therefore i will be trimming around it and making it fit better in terms of visibility.

Re: Windscreen sticker
A mix of soapy water sprayed onto the glass first will give you a bit of leeway with positioning.
Start in the centre and work outwards one side at a time, make sure to let the sticker guide where you stick, NOT THE GLASS SHAPE.
Then trim off the bits where it goes over the edge of the glass.
Unless the sticker is pre-curved to the window shape it will crease if you try and bend it.
As for the cigarette advertising, just do it if you like it. In the real world nobody gives a sh*t, you aren't going to be fined/arrested for having the word marlboro on the car.
