My boot lid has a couple of minor dings caused by my hardtop sling releasing and dropping the hardtop onto my car (my sister in law walked straight into the cord I had secured to the wall and ripped the mounting out of the wall - grrrrrrr). There was some minor paint damage on the same point, but it is minor enough for me to just touch that up myself for now.
These are quite minor indentations, but I am not sure how successful the paintless dent repairers are with aluminium panels? Has anyone had any success (or otherwise), with this method on the boot section? Will the paint damage (I have done a temporary touch-up, but it is stiff not perfect) make it harder, even thought the dings are quite small?
Thanks in advance.
Troy

Re: Repairing dings on the boot
refer similiar post this morning. "Dent removers" do it for any metal - you take it to a specialist and they tell you what can be fixed and this might be a combo of old school and new school approaches ie including repainting. A dent with a diy paint repair is not going to affect its ability to be pushed out.

Ahhhh - I may have been mistaken. For some reason thought the boot was aluminium as well....
