Just bought the cage and went to install it and cant figure out for the life of me how to install the two sections of cage that go through the parcel shelf
If anyone has had to go through this before the help would be really appreciated

Well with my NB MazdaSpeed cage you have to remove the metal panel that covers the front of the fuel tank. Then you have to line up the holes and drill through so you can bolt down to the chassis. Took me a while to realise how it bolted up too..

Did you have to tap the chasis? or did you just bolt into the hole you made?

Nope. Just drilled hole slide bolt through, place plate on from underside then put the nut on of course with washers inbetween. Not sure on a NA but on my NB there's a plastic trim piece in the wheel well that covers where the bolt pokes through

yeah i think the NA's a re a little different, when i removed the tank cover and put the bars on they sit directly on the chassis rails!
i'll have to troll the net n see how others have it me thinks

Ok so charlie gave me all the info I need to install the cage (big thank you there) and to HJT for putting me in the right direction! Iv also found that im missing some backing plates so i'll have to make them up before i can install the rear section
