New Heater Control Panel

Postby ak_perth » Tue Aug 16, 2011 4:54 pm

Hi,

I have recently replaced my stock head unit for a new Kenwood one which i bought via the website below.

After fitting it, it made my heater controls look really old and faded. The numbers and icons had all gone yellow over the years from sunlight i guess. I tried cleaning the numbers and icons to make them white again but to no avail. Also there was a small crack in the round fan control fascia (courtesy of the previous owner) which has always bugged me.

I stumbled across this website below and promptly ordered the brand new fascias. I didn't think to try my local Mazda dealer, i just assumed they would be very expensive and i tried lots of other Australian websites but couldn't find anything. I ordered them last Wednesday and they arrived today (just 6 days from the UK, amazingly quick). Shipping to Perth, Australia was a further £10.

I'm just posting this really in case there are owners like me who are a bit overly fussy and like their stock parts to look like new!
It certainly looks really clean and fresh now. :D
