Is it possible to swap the electric mirrors and windows in my NA8 for manual ones or are there different holes / mouldings etc that prevent it?
I want to get a bit of weight out of the doors...would it make much of a difference? The car is a barely road dríven track car so it doesnt bother me not having electric gubbins.

The electric windows hardly weigh more than the manual ones, so why would you bother?

Re: Swap electric mirrors / windows for manual?
The only difference is you'll have to drill a hole in the door card for the handle, otherwise it's a direct swap over from power to manual, but Benny is correct. When I had my power mechanism out to put a manual one in, there was no noticeable difference in the weight. So if the ONLY reason you're doing it is for weight saving, I wouldn't bother.

Swapping from electric mirrors to manual mirrors is no problem. I just unplugged the electric mirrors and left the wiring inside the door (in case I feel the need to back to electric... for some reason )

Thanks guys, I will direct my efforts elsewhere. I suspected there would not be much in it....the doors on an NA are weighty things though!
