NA Headlight Popup Rods

Can the rods be removed from the back of the popup lights. I can't get mine off because of the nylon cup surrounding the ball. I want to grease them up or maybe replace them.

NA01-51-SA5, rod is replaceable, BUT you will probably stuff em getting them off, the trick is to "flick them off" as you would wiper arm pivots.
May be better injecting lube into joint.

Do you mean use a lever to pop the ball out of the nylon cup.
